I am avoiding Borders, because I know I'll go crazy buying books. I just finished Beauty Queens, and it was really good!

Haha Lacey you are too funny. I've only been to Borders twice - and oddly enough since I had my amazon app handy on my phone I only ended up buying one book because the prices on amazon with free shipping and no tax still beat out the prices on Borders. It made me think - "they are going out of business and still aren't able to compete with amazon prices???"

Hubby is buying me four books tonight as a present because he's STILL working on finishing his little polymer clay diorama that he was going to give me for valentines day this year but is yet to be finished. Tootles!

Great IMM, Lacey! I went crazy when the nearby Borders closed. I went like 3 times and each time I'd bring huge amounts of books back home. I couldn't help it. They were sooooo cheap!! XD

PABKINS shut up! I do/did the same thing! lol. Amazon is my number one source for books since they don't tax in Ca ( i see you live in N Cali, hi up there) and I pay for their prime service so I can get those books ASAP. WE are soul mates :)

and go Hubbby, get those books.

Tootles for now~

Christy, I have heard such great things about Beauty Queens. I loved her Gemma Doyle Trilogy, have you read that?

Beauty Queens was my 1st Libba Bray book. I'm sure I'll read her other stuff though, because she's a riot!

And I'm with you about the no tax from Amazon. But I just read in the paper a few days ago how CA is trying to make them charge tax, because we're missing out on so much money. I doubt it'll happen though.

Christy, if Amazon started taxing, I'd be so upset, lol. I''so spoiled now. I feel like theyve been talking about charging sales tax for a while now, here's hoping NO.
I've only read her Gemma Doyle Trilogy and it's not contemporary, set in Gothic Victorian England, if you enjoy historical fiction than you'd prb enjoy the story and of course it has magic! :)

I'd like to read her other contemporary stuff at some point.

Yeah, apparently the whole issue was brought up awhile back, so Amazon moved some part of their company out of CA. Even though they're in Oregon(if I remember right), CA is still trying to fight them on it.

Oooo the Gemma Doyle Trilogy sounds even better!
