Follow Friday! (week 6)

Follow Friday is a weekly meme hosted by Parajunkie and Alison Can Read.

It is a fun way for fellow book bloggers to find new friends in the blogging community!

This week's question is:

Q: Letter to Santa: Tell Santa what books you want for Christmas!

This could potentially be a very, very, long list., but for the sake of this FF, I shall keep it a minimum, :)
I really would like the complete collection of the Penguin and Puffin classic books.

How adorable are these babies? I also want the collection from Penguin.

I'm pretty sure this box set is new because I've never seen it until today and it beautiful.

As for non book related items I would love DKNY Perfume PURE.

What about you? Which items are you most wishing for this holiday season?

Follow Friday! (week 5)

Follow Friday is sponsored by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read.  Over on Alison Can Read the featured blogger is Once Upon a Prologue. This week's question is:

If you could change the ending of any book (or series), which book would you choose? Why and to what?

Oh man. This question is really going to make me think and it's late here and I should already be in bed...

I loved, LOVED the ending of Iron Knight by Julie Kagawa BUT I wish that didn't end the series there, see I am a big fan of the happily ever after and yes, Ash and Meghan are now together (listen to me, like they are real, aren't they, lol) I really must be tired. Back to what I am saying, PUCK. He didn't get his Happily Ever After ... did he? I know he had a spotlight in Summer's Crossing but where is his true love? I'd like to seen him settle down but maybe he isn't meant to ... IDK. I think I am rambling now. I may have a better answer come tomorrow morning but for now, sleepy time.

WHAT ABOUT YOU? If you comment make sure to leave a linky so I can comment back

Book Blogger Hop & Follow Friday! (week 4)

Hey Peeps it's that time again... Book Blogger Hop and Follow Friday!

Follow Friday is a weekly meme hosted by Parajunkie and Alison Can Read.

It is a fun way for fellow book bloggers to find new friends in the blogging community!

This week's question is:

In  books like the Sookie Stackhouse (True Blood) series , the paranormal creature in question “comes out of the closet”, and makes itself known to the world. Which mythical creature do you with would come out of the closet for real?

I think I would love to meet Lish from Paranormlacy. Yea, mermaids. We don't have enough  mermaid action in paranormal books and I'd personally love to befriend one.  I just watched the Charmed episode when Phoebe becomes a mermaid, I  love it ... yes, mermaids please. come out and say hi!

This Week questions/prompt:
Do you have any pets?

I do. I have a 9 month old golden retriever puppy named, Charli. She is absolute terror on 4 legs...she should really be called Molly Mayhem. Aside from the mayhem she is the most cuddly and sweet pup-pup. And like most big dogs, she insists on being a lap dog. :)
Charli at 6 weeks

Charli (AKA Molly Mayhem) 9 months

What about you, do you have any pets?

Book Blogger Hop & Follow Friday! (week 3)

Hey Peeps it's that time again... Book Blogger Hop and Follow Friday!
Book Blogger Hop is a weekly meme hosted by Crazy For Books.  It is a fun way for bloggers to find each other's blogs and learn about each other.

This week's question/prompt is:

“What’s the LONGEST book you’ve ever read?”
(Note: I’m putting one caveat on this question. You aren’t allowed to say the Bible, Torah, Qur’an, or other religious/spiritual text.)

My Answer:

Stone of Tears (Book 2 Sword of Truth Series) By Terry Goodkind
with a total of 992 pages. :) I started Brandon Sanderson's Way of Kings and it's a whopping 1280 pages, GASP, but I haven't finished it...yet :)

This week's question is:

If you could write yourself a part in a book, what book would it be and what role would you play in that book?

Definitely Harry Potter! Maybe as an American transfer student? Honestly, any part (as long as I am magical) would totally rock my knee-high socks off.  And just for the hell of it, Pride and Prejudice, I so want to be friends with Elizabeth Bennet.

WWhat about you? Make sure to leave a link so I can check out your post and follow you back!

Book Blogger Hop & Follow Friday! (week 2)

How has your reading habits changed since you were a teen? or, If you are still a teen what new genres are you in love with currently?

My reading habits haven't changed too much since I've been teen, I still opt to nerd out and read than go out (sometimes, lol) and I read like a mad-woman. The big differences is A. I have more money, so I buy ALL THE BOOKS I WANT NOW ( My mom bought most of my books back then). 2. I have a more diverse taste of books. I never thought I'd be back to reading Young Adult, alas, it's my favorite genre right along side with fantasy. combine those two, better watch out because I may burst with book oooey gooey book love everywhere.

(Blog Hop to come once it's posted, lol)

It is a fun way for fellow book bloggers to find new friends in the blogging community!

This week's question is:

Q. Talk about the book that most changed or influenced your life (was it a book that turned you from an average to avid reader, did it help you deal with a particularly difficult situation, does it bring you comfort every time you read it?).

The Lord of the Rings with out a doubt changed my reading life permanently. After seeing The Fellowship of the Rings I was enthralled with the whole tale of hobbits and the many other creatures of Middle Earth.  And when I realized I had to to wait another year to see what happens with Frodo and Sam I immediately picked up the complete trilogy. I devoured the detailed and adventurous story with in a few week and couldn't believe I used to make fun of people who read fantasy. From there I started searching for new fantasy reads. I read Harry Potter, Mary Stewart's Artharian Saga,  Terry Goodkind's Sword of Truth Series and Philip Pullman's Dark Materials trilogy.  I hate to say it but the series that got  me started in Young Adult was Twilight.  Well, I know I am not alone in that. lol. Now I read everything from high-adventure and epic fantasy to Historical Fiction, Romance and my favorite general gene, Young Adult which hits soo many awesome sub genres.

What books influenced you?  What ARC do you wish you had?

If you are a new follower, make sure you let me know, I'd love to check out your selections and story as well!
